What is the Butterfly Mechanism?

The Butterfly Tilt Mechanism is one of the most reliable control systems in modern chairs. It is named so because of the characteristic shape of the metal plate located under the seat.

It offers you two basic functions through a central lever:

1. Height Adjustment: By pressing the lever, you adjust the seat to the ideal height for your legs.

2. Reclining Function: By pulling the lever outwards, you activate the free movement (rocking function). The chair follows your body when you lean back. By pushing the lever back in, the chair "locks" into the upright, ergonomic working position.

In addition, it has a tension knob on the bottom to adjust how easy or difficult the recline will be depending on your weight.

Maintenance & Cleaning Instructions:

1. Mesh Fabric & Seat: Use the special vacuum cleaner attachment with a soft brush once a week to remove dust. For any stains, gently clean with a damp microfiber cloth and a mild, neutral detergent (no chlorine or harsh chemicals).

2. PP Frame: Wipe the surfaces periodically with a soft, slightly damp cloth to prevent the accumulation of marks or dust.

3. Casters: Check the casters regularly and remove any trapped hair or lint to ensure smooth and quiet rolling at all times.
